After Megan and Billy rode their first winners in January, Cameron Hillhouse decided he wanted a piece of the action!
Cameron joined us as one of our weekend team back in September 2017 and after completing his A levels took up a full time role in the yard. Cameron’s riding has gone from strength to strength and he passed his Amateur licence course earlier this year. Saturday night was his first opportunity to get on the track and he made his first ride a winning one, aboard our racing club horse – Magwadiri.
It was a win that was thoroughly enjoyed by all the team and certainly a day that Cameron and his family will never forget.
It has been very rewarding for these young riders getting out onto the track but the results are coming from the hard work that goes on behind the scenes and these opportunities are only possible as all of the team pull together and make it happen – so a massive well done to them all for making it a great start to 2020
